Mayor Patrick Fitzsimmons of Weaverville, North Carolina, addressed reports of increased U.S. Customs and Border Protection activity in Buncombe County. He stated that the Weaverville Police Department will follow all laws but will not use local resources to enforce civil immigration laws.
