Village Wayside Bar & Grille Set to Reopen in Grovewood Village, Bringing Local Favorite to North Asheville

Village Wayside Bar & Grille, a restaurant in Asheville, has announced plans to reopen in Grovewood Village in North Asheville’s Grove Park neighborhood. The restaurant will move into the former ELDR space, which closed after Hurricane Helene caused damage.

For 15 years, Village Wayside operated from the Biltmore Village train depot. The depot, opened in 1896, was part of Asheville’s development and served as a transportation hub until 1975.

After Hurricane Helene damaged their original location, Village Wayside began searching for a new site. Owner Mark Harding said he appreciated their time in Biltmore Village and looked forward to serving both returning and new customers in North Asheville…
