CANTON, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Town of Canton is inviting residents to help plan for the community’s future after multiple crises.
Over the last five years, Canton’s residents have endured the hardships of the COVID-19 pandemic, the flooding and damage caused by Tropical Storm Fred in 2021 and Hurricane Helene last year, and the closure of the Pactiv Evergreen paper mill in 2023, causing more than 1,000 people lost their jobs.
