BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. (WLOS) — The owners of Black Mountain Brewing say that while the actions of town leaders this week have been encouraging and a step forward, they may be too little too late and legal action may still be on the table.
At Black Mountain Brewing, the dust is still settling after the town council on Monday evening acknowledged serious inspection mistakes made concerning Black Mountain Brewing’s upper deck. Still, owner John Richardson says he sees a path forward with town leaders that would allow him to return the business to full capacity. While he’s willing to sit down to craft a solution, he still has hesitations.
“I do think there’s still a lot of mistrust against the building inspector against the zoning inspector and these things just don’t go away,” Richardson said.
While he’s ready to talk with the town, he’s also keeping his options open for legal action to recoup losses caused by limiting the number of people in the building…
