SWANNANOA, N.C. (WLOS) — Employers gathered at the Valley Hope Church in Swannanoa on Thursday, Dec. 11, to take part in the Black Mountain Swannanoa Chamber Foundation career fair.
Around 10 employers in the Swannanoa, Black Mountain and Asheville communities participated, ranging from transportation to nonprofits, to lots of other positions.
Organizers say today’s fair was mainly to help local businesses hire workers after Helene.
“Many had to relocate because of housing or loss of transportation, that sort of thing.
