Cold shelters open amid freezing temperatures in the Upstate

(WSPA) – With freezing temperature arriving soon, many cold weather shelters are opening their doors in preparation. Here are shelters open in the Upstate during the current freeze:

Spartanburg County:

  • Spartanburg Rescue Mission – 189 North Forest Street, Spartanburg, open 7 a.m.- 2 p.m.
  • Extreme Cold Weather Shelter – 701 Saxon Avenue, Spartanburg, 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Greenville County:

  • Shepherd’s Gate (Women, children only) – 11 Regency Hill Drive, Greenville, 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Greenville Rescue Mission (Men only) – 575 West Washington Street, 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Anderson County:

  • Haven of Rest Ministries Rescue Mission – 219 West Whitner Street, Anderson, 24 hours

Cherokee County:

  • Cherokee County Rescue Mission – 227 Henderson Street, Gaffney, 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Buncombe County:
