Marion man charged after failed burglary attempt: authorities

MARION, N.C. (WLOS) — A Marion man has been charged after authorities said he took a garage door opener from a vehicle parked outside a residence in an attempt to gain entry into the home.

On the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 9, a deputy and a lieutenant with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office responded to a break-in report at a Marion residence, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.
