ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — The Jewish community in Asheville is uniting in support of those grieving in Australia after a mass shooting at a Hanukkah celebration this weekend.
On the afternoon of Sunday, Dec. 14, two gunmen shot at a crowd of hundreds who had gathered for an event celebrating the start of Hanukkah at Bondi Beach in Australia. Fifteen people were killed and dozens were injured, according to Australian authorities. Police fatally shot one of the perpetrators and arrested the other.
