Georgia man pleads guilty to kidnapping, raping woman in WNC in 2022

HENDERSON COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – Officials with Prosecutorial District 42 in North Carolina report a Georgia man pleaded guilty to rape and kidnapping charges on Thursday.

Officials said a 24-year-old woman, who traveled off I-26 in Henderson County to use the restroom at a Hardee’s off of Howard Gap Road on Feb. 10, 2022, was approached by 36-year-old Aaron Marquez Boyd. He held a gun and threatened to shoot her if she did not get in her car.

Boyd made her drive to a remote location where he sexually assaulted her. He then threatened to shoot her if she did not stay in that location, and he took her phone and her vehicle, according to officials…
