East Fork Pottery, a beloved Asheville institution, has announced plans to invest $2.5 million to expand its production capacity.
Founded as a traditional wood-fired pottery in 2010 by Alex Matisse, East Fork currently produces more than 750,000 pieces of pottery per year. The Certified B Corporation also designs and sources kitchen and home goods.
The expansion, which is in conjunction with the Economic Development Coalition for Asheville-Buncombe County, will double production capacity. Over the next three years, 40 new jobs at an average of $26 per hour will be created…
