WNC Nature Center leaps into 2026 with new frogs

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — The Western North Carolina Nature Center is leaping into the new year with some new animals.

The WNC Nature Center has received five new green tree frogs.

Their names are Rhodo, Beryl, Pyrope, Cory and Denni. They’re named after minerals, gems and stones.

Center officials say if you’re hoping to spot them while visiting, it’ll be pretty easy…
