LAKE LURE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – A beloved themed tavern on Memorial Highway, Fae Nectar, is struggling to stay open after taking damage from Hurricane Helene.
Though roads and much of the town are reopening, owner Tom Halladay says recovery has been slow and expenses have mounted despite loans and local aid.
“Going to GoFundMe was really a last resort,” Halladay says. “We’re just trying to make it through spring and into summer so we can keep hosting concerts, weddings and community events.”…
