Asheville Planning and Zoning meeting about proposed Costco pushed to February

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — There has been significant attention on the possibility of Costco coming to Buncombe County, featuring more than 150,000 square feet of space, a massive parking lot, a full fuel facility, and a tire center.

However, residents who have been waiting to hear new details on the proposed big-box store along Enka Heritage Parkway in Enka will have to wait a little longer.

At Wednesday’s monthly meeting, members of the Asheville Planning and Zoning Committee approved an applicant’s request for a continuance. Details on the proposed project will now be presented at the committee’s Feb. 4 meeting.
