MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. (WBTV) – A 15-year-old missing runaway teenager was accused of stealing a vehicle out of Cleveland County and later wrecking the vehicle in McDowell County on Tuesday, according to the sheriff’s office.
The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office said on Tuesday, Jan. 20, they were searching for 15-year-old Levi Whitaker, who was reported missing out of Cleveland County on Friday, Jan. 16.
Deputies said that Whitaker was seen earlier on Tuesday after he crashed a stolen vehicle near Jacktown and Parker’s Chapel Road. Whitaker was then seen running away on foot near Bob’s Import Drive. He was wearing a black or dark gray Nike jumpsuit…
