ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — A late-night house fire in Fairview destroyed a home and spread into nearby woods, but the resident escaped safely and no firefighters were injured, officials said.
The Fairview Volunteer Fire Department said crews responded to the structure fire late Thursday night and returned to service after cleaning and resetting equipment early Friday.
Firefighters arrived to find the structure fully involved in flames, with fire spreading into the surrounding woods.
