Man sentenced after plea deal for Wendy’s double homicide

Daryl Lyndon Jeffries III has been sentenced to 16 to 20.5 years in prison for a fatal shooting at a North Asheville Wendy’s in May 2020.

Jeffries, 23, pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder, and one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Following the plea, Superior Court Judge Alan Thornburg sentenced Jeffries to 195-246 months in prison for the murder charges, as well as a concurrent sentence of 51-74 months for the robbery charge…
