WNC man sentenced after admitting to shooting house there up

A Western North Carolina man will spend less than 5 years in prison after shooting into a house there. Court records say, James Robert Wyerman pleaded guilty to assault with a deadly weapon, shooting into an occupied house, and possession of a stolen gun.

The charges came after a shooting on Poverty Branch Road in Buncombe County. Deputies responded and found gunfire damage to the home after Wyerman fired multiple shots, but no injuries were reported…
