ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — A 28-year-old man was charged with arson after police discovered a fire burning at the vacant Mountaineer Inn in Asheville.
Shortly after midnight on Thursday, Feb. 5, officers with the Asheville Police Department observed a fire and a person inside a vacant room at the Tunnel Road motel, according to an APD press release.
Officers extinguished the fire and took 28-year-old Christopher Marcus Sadler into custody, the release said. After further investigation, Sadler was charged with first-degree arson and breaking and entering. He was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility with no bond…
