BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office announced that a man was sentenced on Friday in the 2025 murder of a woman at a gas station.
John Blodgett pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon in the death of Jodi Anderson. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Anderson was found dead the morning of July 14, 2025, at the Shell Station on Sweeten Creek Road where she worked as a manager. Blodgett was a former employee there and was arrested later that morning at the Walmart on Airport Road and charged with first-degree murder…
