HAYWOOD COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — Law enforcement officials in North Carolina are seeking the public’s help in locating two men from Florida who are accused of felony larceny of fiber optic cable.
According to a Feb. 13 news release from the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office, the two individuals were in a bucket truck that Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies believed had suspects who were stealing fiber optic cable. The driver of the truck, Conroy Morrison, 43, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, was initially arrested by authorities for traffic violations. He posted bond for those charges and was released.
Following Morrison’s release, Haywood County Sheriff’s Office detectives began an investigation and developed additional information that led to multiple felony charges against Morrison and the passenger, Dwayne Daley, 34, of Riviera Beach, Florida.
