ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — After following up to repeated community complaints about illegal drug activity in the area, Asheville police recently arrested three people on gun and drug charges in West Asheville.
According to a Feb. 18 news release, the arrests were made in the Short Michigan Avenue area at 10:45 p.m. on Feb. 17. Police said they first made contact with Jami Marie Lee Tressler, 32, who was found to be in possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine and a large amount of cash.
During the search of Tressler’s residence, drugs, along with four firearms, including one that had been reported stolen, were located, police said. Two other people, Irvin Franklin Freeman, 55, and Kara Nicole Ervin, 28, were taken into custody and charged…
