ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — The Asheville Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding a suspect involved in an attempted robbery on Sunday, Feb. 22.
On Sunday, around 11:37 a.m., APD stated they responded to a report of an attempted robbery on Rumbough Place during a prearranged silver sale. The suspect had already fled when APD arrived.
The victim provided police with a description of the suspect, who pepper-sprayed them during the pre-arranged silver sale, APD said. The victim also escaped the interaction before contacting the police.
APD said following an investigation, detectives identified James Russell Morrow, 23, as the suspect and he was charged with attempted common law robbery. He’s currently at large…
