HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — AdventHealth has lifted temporary visitor restrictions and returned to its regular visitor policy in western North Carolina, the health care system announced Monday.
In late December 2025, AdventHealth implemented the following protocols amid an uptick in flu, COVID-19 and RSV:
- Patients experiencing respiratory symptoms are asked to notify team members at check-in.
- Visitors with symptoms of illness are encouraged to postpone their visit until they are symptom-free.
- Visitors under the age of 18 are not permitted at this time.
- Visitors for patients on respiratory illness protocols are required to wear a mask.
These protocols have since been lifted amid a decline in flu and other respiratory illnesses across the region, an AdventHealth spokesperson said in a press release.
The health care system said it made the change in late February, noting that “the presence of loved ones plays an important role in healing.”…
