Woman charged after firing shot at Buncombe Co. jail

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) — The Buncombe County Detention Center was placed under lockdown over the weekend after a woman was able to access a gun while in police custody.

According to the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 10:45 p.m. on Sunday.
