Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office detectives have charged a man and woman in Woodfin after the child arrived at school showing signs of exposure to drugs.
After the child arrived at school experiencing symptoms of drug use on Feb. 11, BCSO detectives began investigating. they executed a search warrant at a home at 12 Crofoot Trail in Woodfin on Feb. 25 and charged Ashley Elizabeth Cook and Shane Kurt Gurley with exposing a child under the age of 16 to a controlled substance.
