MARS HILL, N.C. (WLOS) — Two small tornadoes touched down in Madison County on Monday morning, March 16, damaging trees but leaving no injuries.
The first tornado was rated an EF-0 and occurred between 7:11 a.m. and 7:12 a.m. It had maximum winds of 75 mph, a path length of 0.44 yards and a width of 50 yards.
A second EF-0 tornado touched down minutes later, between 7:15 a.m. and 7:18 a.m. It had maximum winds of 80 mph, a path length of 2.32 miles and a width of 50 yards…
