ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) confirmed a 2.7 magnitude earthquake near Dillsboro on Monday, March 23, 2026.
It happened just after 8 p.m. The epicenter was 6.4 miles northeast of Dillsboro, which is about 50 miles west of Asheville.
