ASHEVILLE – An Alexander man was charged with second-degree murder March 22 after he allegedly drove drunk, causing an accident that killed a passenger.
Jeremy Heath, 54, was arrested by an N.C. State Highway Patrol trooper and charged March 22 with aggravated felony death by vehicle, second-degree murder and driving while impaired, according to a copy of an arrest warrant obtained by the Citizen Times.
Around 11:45 p.m. March 21, Heath was driving a 2002 Toyota on Alexander Road when he was involved in a single-vehicle crash near Fletcher Martin Road in Alexander, Sgt.
