HAYWOOD COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The U.S. Forest Service reports it is working with the N.C. Forest Service to contain a wildfire in Haywood County.
Officials said the Nix Creek Road Fire is near Lake Logan, southeast of Waynesville. It has spread across 40 acres and is 20 percent contained.
