MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) — A portion of N.C. 80 is shut down due to the active wildfire on Locust Cove Road in McDowell County.
McDowell County Emergency Management said N.C. 80 north of Toms Creek Road to the Yancey County line is shut down to ensure the safety of the emergency personnel working to contain the fire.
