BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — The City of Asheville and Buncombe County are seeing a rise in homelessness, with new numbers showing more people are turning to shelters as the cost of living continues to climb.
“Taking a shower in a bunch of crises, it’s just one crisis after another,” said Alanna Kinsella, director of homeless services for Homeward Bound, as she described the lives of her clients.
