ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) — With the help of the Asheville Fire Department, one great horned owlet was returned to its nest over the weekend.
Officials said the owl was injured after falling from the nest earlier this year.
According to the May Wildlife Rehabilitation Center at Lees-McRae College, the owlet was given a blood transfusion, medications, and three weeks of care.
The baby was reunited with its family in its natural habitat on Zillicoa Street, and is expected to take flight soon…
