MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Officials have charged a woman with allegedly causing the large Jumping Branch wildfire in McDowell County.
According to the N.C. The Forest Service, the cause of the fire was deemed to have been sparked by an improperly discarded smoking material on private property on March 29.
