RALEIGH, N.C. (WLOS) — A new federal grant has been launched, making $40 million available for Helene-damaged commercial districts in western North Carolina, Governor Josh Stein’s office announced.
Local governments and nonprofits can apply for this funding through the Commercial District Revitalization (CDR) Program.
“The Commercial District Revitalization program is a critical investment in western North Carolina’s economic recovery,” Stein said in the release. “By supporting business districts, we’re supporting local businesses, stabilizing jobs, and strengthening communities in western North Carolina.”…
