The City of Asheville, alongside members of the Urban Forestry Commission and RiverLink, invites the community to celebrate Arbor Day in the RAD on Saturday, April 11, 2026.
Activities will take place at two locations; the Craven Street Boat Launch and the Smoke Stack.
Those activities include:
- Tree planting demonstrations
- Riparian zone walk-and-talks
- Giving away tree seedlings
- Showing people how to care for trees that pop up on their own
- Sharing information about community projects like the currently-in-production Urban Forest Master Plan
