Leaders urge water conservation as drought deepens across western North Carolina

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Western North Carolina remains under extreme drought conditions, prompting some mountain communities to impose voluntary water restrictions as officials and environmental experts warn of continued dry conditions.
