Asheville-based brewery takes home bronze medal in 2026 World Beer Cup

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) — Hi-Wire Brewing took home a bronze medal in the 2026 World Beer Cup Awards on April 22.

The Asheville-based brewery said its 10W-40 Coconut Chocolate Bar beer placed in the Dessert or Pastry Beer category.

This is the second World Beer Cup award for the brewery’s 10W-40 Imperial Stout series. In 2024, its 10W-40 Churro took home a silver medal.

“The series began with the idea for 10W-40 Original, and over time it evolved into one of the most beloved expressions we produce,” said Hank Marshall, Hi-Wire’s director of operations and former head brewer. “We’ve always been proud of the foundation of that beer, and watching it grow into something this expansive has been genuinely rewarding.”…
