No one was injured and no property was damaged when a man fired a gun near the Rock Haven Motel at 1464 Patton Ave. around midnight on April 18.
Asheville Police Department officers later arrested Carl Christopher Martin, 37, in a nearby parking lot, where he had fallen asleep in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. Martin was taken into custody without incident and found to be in possession of a firearm.
Martin was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, discharging a firearm in city limits and second degree trespassing. He was booked into the Buncombe County Detention facility under a $1,500 bond…
