ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Asheville Municipal Golf Course was mostly under water after floodwaters from Helene hit Western North Carolina on Sept. 27, 2024.
Now, 19 months later, all the hard work in the recovery process isn’t going unnoticed. According to an April 30 news release from the City of Asheville, Asheville Municipal Golf Course has been recognized by the 2026 Best of North Carolina Awards by Guide to North Carolina — earning the Best of North Carolina Regional Golf Course.
