ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Organizers of AVL Sounds Fest have announced the first wave of bands and musicians set to play the multi-day music festival in 2026.
AVL Sounds Fest, formerly known as AVLFest, is a citywide music festival in Asheville that will take place this fall, from Thursday, Aug. 6, through Sunday, Aug. 9. More than 150 artists from across the region and the country will perform at a series of local venues throughout Asheville, such as the Orange Peel, the Grey Eagle, Asheville Music Hall and more.
Dr. Dog and Preservation Hall Jazz Band were announced as headliners in a social media post Monday, May 4. Other artists include Grace Bowers, Young Gun Silver Fox, Improvement Movement, Sir Woman and Tyler Ramsey & Carl Broemel (of My Morning Jacket)…
