Weaverville Town Council joined 14 other municipalities in the Land of Sky Regional Council who have passed a resolution requesting that HCA CEO Sam Hazen come and engage with local officials and community members.
The other municipalities are: Asheville, Biltmore Forest, Black Mountain, Brevard, Flat Rock, Fletcher, Hot Springs, Laurel Park, Marshall, Mars Hill, Mills River, Montreat, Rosman and Woodfin. Hendersonville is the only municipality not to pass a resolution.
Land of Sky has already passed its own resolution as well, which Councilwoman Jennifer Young presented at the Council’s April 28 meeting. She serves as the Council’s delegate to Land of Sky, as well as a liaison between AdventHealth and Weaverville…
