Bearfootin’ fundraiser reveal is well-attended despite heavy rain

HENDERSONVILLE – Pouring rain dampened everyone in attendance at the unveiling of the entries in Hendersonville’s Bearfootin’ Art Walk and Auction May 6, but not their spirits.

An estimated 100 people turned out to the Hendersonville Welcome Center on Main Street as 20 painted bear statues were announced from the stage and uncovered one by one.

The bears will now stand on the streetcorners of downtown Hendersonville until October 22, when they’re auctioned off, the proceeds going to local nonprofits, charities and the Friends of Downtown Hendersonville…
