BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — A Buncombe County man has pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including indecent liberties with a minor, the county’s district attorney’s office announced on May 12.
Adam Daniel Ray, 41, was sentenced to an active term of 33 to 52 months, or up to about 4 years, in the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction, the DA’s office said. Ray also has to register as a sex offender upon his release and can’t contact the minor victim for life.
“This case involved distinct categories of harm: the trafficking of drugs into our community and the abuse of a child,” said District Attorney Todd M. Williams, “for that, Ray will go to prison and register as a sex offender.”…
