DPS: 329 DUIs, more than 150 injured on Georgia roads over Memorial Day weekend

GEORGIA (WRBL) — The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) has released its final statistics for road activity during the Memorial Day Weekend travel period.

Georgia DPS, which oversees the Georgia State Patrol, reported a total of 298 crashes that resulted in 153 injuries and 12 fatalities.

DPS also reported 911 seatbelt citations, 708 distracted driving citations and 329 DUIs (driving under the influence)…
