Driver accused of firing shots at vehicle during road rage incident in Smyrna

Bryan Castillo Sanchez, 24, of Smyrna, is accused of a road rage incident on May 23 at 9 p.m. at 701 Woodlands Drive, Smyrna, inside The Alcove apartment complex, according to an arrest warrant from the Smyrna Police Department.

After being arrested and agreeing to answer questions, Sanchez stated that he and the victim were entering the apartment complex in their vehicles. He said the victim cut him off and brake checked him. Sanchez then flashed his high beams at the victim and turned into his building to drop his girlfriend off at their apartment. Sanchez said that he then went through the complex and found the victim, according to the warrant.

Once he found the victim, Sanchez engaged him in a verbal confrontation. He said that when he exited his vehicle, he had his firearm out and visibly pressed against his chest. When the victim returned to his vehicle and attempted to leave, Sanchez fired two shots. Police found two bullet holes – one in the front driver’s side quarter panel and one in the rear driver’s side quarter panel, according to the warrant…
