MABLETON, Ga. — The City of Mableton announced Thursday that it is beginning the process of creating its own Public Safety Division, including law enforcement services, as city leaders prepare for the eventual end of its long-term policing agreement with Cobb County.
City officials said the move follows mediation between Mableton and Cobb County on May 22 regarding the future of law enforcement services in the city.
