College Park restaurant owner says Mayor Pro-Tem harassing her using city staff

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. — A College Park business owner says she is being unfairly targeted by a city leader, claiming code enforcement visits and pressure over her gaming machines are threatening her livelihood.

Shawn Perkins, owner of We R Nola and Big Back’s Cajun Kitchen, says the controversy started after College Park Mayor Pro-Tem Joe Carn allegedly questioned whether her businesses were operating legally.

“It’s a shakedown,” Perkins said. “I’m not paying anything. All my stuff is legal.”…
