Georgia man charged in Facebook Marketplace watch robbery in New Jersey

A Georgia man has been arrested and charged in connection with a robbery that occurred during a Facebook Marketplace transaction in Gloucester Township, police said.

Officers responded to Commerce Square Plaza on Blackwood-Clementon Road at about 2:57 p.m. on May 24 after receiving a report of a robbery. Investigators learned the victim had arranged to meet a prospective buyer to sell a high-value watch through Facebook Marketplace.

According to police, the suspect took possession of the watch during the meeting, showed the victim a large knife and then ran away…
