Francis Xavior Carney, 29, of Cedartown, is accused of driving a white Nissan Rogue, changing lanes improperly and hitting a black Chevy Silverado on June 18 at 2 p.m. near the I-575 Northbound on-ramp at the intersection of Barrett Parkway and I-575, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.
Carney made an immediate U-turn and drove eastbound on Barrett Parkway at a high rate of speed. The victim followed him on Barrett Parkway until Carney parked at the Clarion Pointe Kennesaw Town Center hotel at 560 Roberts Court in Kennesaw. When two police cars entered the parking lot, Carney ran behind the hotel. He was found hiding in a dumpster, according to the warrant.
Carney is charged with driving – hit and run; driving – improper lane change/no signal; and obstruction/hindering law enforcement. He was arrested on June 18 at 2:48 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
