Fulton Fresh Mobile Market brings fruits, vegetables and cooking help straight to local communities this summer

Atlanta, Georgia – In July, the Fulton Fresh Mobile Market will once again turn ordinary neighborhood stops into small gateways to healthier kitchens.

The summer program, led by Fulton County Cooperative Extension, is continuing its countywide route with a third summer session scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 14 through July 30, 2026. The idea is simple but important: bring fresh fruits, vegetables, practical cooking advice, and nutrition education closer to residents who may not always have easy access to healthy food.

For communities facing food deserts, distance can shape dinner. A grocery trip may mean extra gas, extra time, or extra planning. Fulton Fresh cuts through part of that barrier by rolling directly into local neighborhoods with farm-fresh, in-season produce and in-person guidance on how to use it at home. Participants do not need to register, and each visitor will receive nutrition information along with a fresh bag of produce.

The Tuesday route will serve Union City throughout the session. On July 14, 21, and 28, the market will stop at 10 a.m. at The Gathering Place, located at 6280 Bryant Street, Union City, GA 30291. Later those same days, it will move to the Gladys S. Dennard Library at South Fulton, 4055 Flat Shoals Road, Union City, GA 30291, with service beginning at 1 p.m…
